W113 Pagoda
230SL · 250SL · 280SL
Our primary Classic Mercedes program, centered on the 280SL and the balanced road manners, elegant proportions, and enduring usability that define the Pagoda.

Ground-up restoration of the W113 Pagoda and select blue-chip Mercedes-Benz models, combining factory-correct structure, OEM-grade protection, and the quiet precision these cars deserve.
Restoration philosophy
A Pagoda is remembered for its proportion and ease, but those qualities depend on what cannot be seen: correct geometry, sound metal, disciplined mechanical work, and hundreds of details resolved together.
Banyan restores each commission from the body outward in Stuttgart. The result is historically coherent, genuinely usable, and prepared for another generation of ownership.
03 Protection before presentation
Every body is fully disassembled and stripped before structural correction. Cathodic KTL dip-coating then protects seams, internal cavities, and exposed metal to an OEM standard conventional restoration cannot reach.
Chemical stripping, dimensional inspection, corrosion remediation, and structural metalwork.
Cathodic coating across exposed panels, seams, cavities, and internal surfaces.
Classic Mercedes programs
The Pagoda is the center of the program. W111 coupe and cabriolet commissions bring the same standard to another defining era of Mercedes-Benz design. Select additional icons are considered individually.

The pillarless W111 family, restored around body integrity, restrained elegance, and the exacting fit and finish these hand-finished Mercedes deserve.

05 An active Pagoda program
Each commission has its own history, specification, and intended use. The common thread is a documented, ground-up process executed by one Stuttgart team.
The Banyan standard
The finish matters because the foundation is right. Structural, mechanical, and material decisions are developed as one complete restoration.

Complete disassembly reveals the condition beneath trim and paint. Geometry, corrosion, panel fit, and structural metalwork are resolved before refinishing begins.
Engine, fuel delivery, cooling, braking, suspension, and driveline systems are rebuilt and validated as one coherent road-going specification.
Correct architecture, materials, color, controls, and precise fit preserve the particular elegance of a classic Mercedes interior.
